It's a beautiful Thursday!
It's a beautiful night to hang out at City Park this evening with the lovely singing of Banu Gibson for the first Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out...$10 for adults and $3 for children.
Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden has Calvin Johnson, Jr. Calvin has performed, recorded, and toured all over the world with acclaimed musicians, Harry Connick Jr., Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Aaron Neville, Irvin Mayfield and the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra, Big Sams Funky Nation, Rebirth Brass Band, and has proven his artistic versatility by performing with hip hop icons such as Mannie Fresh and Mystikal. Be sure to head on over to the bar for this month's signature drink - The Irish O-Ale - And remember if you're a member of the Ogden you always get in free!
The 1st Annual Prima Festival starts tonight and runs all weekend long at Mississippi River Heritage Park, 1101 Convention Center Blvd., New Orleans featuring restaurants and a four day talent line-up. Admission will be $10.!

Harvey Jesus - 3pm to 5pm
The Boogie Men - 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Lena Prima - 8pm to 10pm
