You can also stop at Clever (right next door - don't even have to walk outside) for their happy hour specials after attending the free wine tasting! And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market (right outside the door) and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!!
Check out the fresh new Frenchmen Art Market while you're strolling down Frenchmen Street this evening! The market is right next door to the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) and runs Thursdays through Sundays from 7:00 pm to 1:00 am (yes, 1:00 am - for all you late night shopping owls!!) Tonight's going to be a great evening for music and shopping!
Go hang out at City Park this evening and enjoy music from Bobby Cure and The Poppa Stoppas for the Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series! Come on down for a rocking good evening as you travel back in time with Bobby Cure to the Doo-Wop days of the 1950's when the Moon was Blue, and the question of the day was, "Why Do Fools Fall In Love?" Don't miss it! Gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out...$10 for adults and $3 for children (it was $3 last year :)
Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden presents Watermelon Slim - Creating a style of "workingman blues" that blends the sounds of the Mississippi Delta, North Carolina and Oklahoma, Paste magazine has called Watermelon Slim, "The most exciting and authentic blues performer heard in years! Tonight the O BAR's specialty drink is Tequila Sunset: Greet your evening with this blend of tequila, Cointreau, Licor 43, lime juice, simple syrup and lemon-ginger echinacea.
After all the wine and concert fun - be sure to stop by The Irish House (1432 St. Charles Ave.) for a fun night of Sea Shanty singing at 7:00 pm with Steamboating on the Mississippi with Captain Doc Hawley - now this should be a fun one!! And come hungry for some amazing food from Chef Matt!!
