Come out for a happy hour where your opinion counts!  Zagat will be at Bellocq in The Hotel Modern on Lee's Circle from 5:00 to 8:00 pm tonight!  Zagat's New Orleans Restaurant Survey is currently live, and they'd love to get the opinions of folks from around the city. If you vote in the survey this evening they'll even buy you a drink - it's as easy as that!  And be sure to bring your friends. The more, the merrier as far as they're concerned. Please make sure to RSVP below and let them know you're coming to this fun event.

After you make your opinion count - make sure to let your beer drinking count too! It's drinking (and some eating) for the Times Picayune Employee Relief Fund - So fill up on yummy NOLA Beer and some eats at these locations tonight!

*Avenue Pub - 1732 St. Charles Ave. - 100% of liquor, beer and wine sales donated back to the fund 6 till 9 pm (Avenue Pub is a 21 and over establishment.)

*Mia's Balcony Restaurant - 1622 St. Charles Ave. - 10% of food sales for the entire day plus 100 % of NOLA beer sales

*Irish House Restaurant - 1432 St. Charles Ave. - 100% of NOLA Beer sales 6 till 9

Don't miss the Hornets Draft Party!  Head on downtown and watch the NBA draft, including the Hornets' first pick, at the New  Orleans Arena (1500 Poydras St.) beginning at 5:30 p.m. The  Brass-a-Holics will perform, and there will be appearances by Hugo, the  Honeybees and more.  It's going to be the best Hornet's season ever!

Catch an outdoor movie!  The New Orleans Films Society, Louisiana State Museum and Louisiana Museum Foundation present an outdoor screening of King Creole, starring Elvis Presley. The film, set in the French Quarter, and will run on an inflatable screen at the Old U.S. Mint (400 Esplanade Ave.)  beginning around 8:15 p.m.  Tickets are $6, with discounts  for members of NOFS, LMF and Friends of the Cabildo.  Fun!

Don't miss out on the weekly wine tasting at Cork and Bottle (3700 Orleans) about 5:00 pm in Mid-City. Come sample some delicious vinos and kick off your early weekend right! You can also stop at Clever (right next door - don't even have to walk outside) for their happy hour specials after attending the free wine tasting!  And be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market (right outside the door) and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!! 

Go hang out at City Park this evening and enjoy music from Symphony Chorus of New Orleans for the Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series! The Chorus performs Franz Schubert's Miriam's Siegesgesang with guest artist, Danielle Nice, soprano; also Kirby Shaw and Darmon Meader arrangements of Paul Simon favorites Feeling Groovy, Me and Julio, Mother and Child Reunion, to name a few! Gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out...$10 for adults and $3 for children (it was $3 last year :)

Need a little art, culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art (925 Camp St.) - better known as Ogden after Hours. Tonight the Ogden presents Cha Wa  Cha Wa features Mardi Gras Indian singer Eric Boudreaux (brother of Big Chief Monk Boudreaux) on lead vocals, Colin Lake on lap steel, Tom Worrell on piano, Bill Richards on bass, August Jepson on congas, Kerry Vessell on bass drum, and Joe Gelini on drums. Cha Wa merges the sounds of Mardi Gras Indians chanting on the streets of New Orleans with the meditative drone of early blues.  onight the O BAR's specialty drink is The Rum Diary: After a sip or two of this mélange of Calypso Spiced Rum, coconut milk, simple syrup and a splash of a tropical fruit juice you will be ready to create a story or two!
