Get your weekend started off right with wine tastings all over the Crescent City!!
Always a fun way to kick things off. It's the weekly wine tasting over at Cork & Bottle (Orleans at Moss St.) - from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Come out and sample these fantastic wines selections: Segura Viudas Cava, Barone Fini Pinot Grigio, Drytown Cellars Sauvignon Blanc, Morgan Pinot Noir and the Tapiz Mendoza Merlot.
And you can double your wine tasting fun! Check out Swirl located on Ponce de Leon right off Esplanade and enjoy a FREE wine tasting at 6:00 pm. Once you've tasted one of their excellent choices you'll be sure to be buy a bottle!
No worries there's more wine and cheese samplings at Martin's Wine Cellar from 4:30 to 6:30 pm - Uptown (3500 Magazine Street) and in Metairie (714 Elmeer)! If you need to go shopping at Lakeside you may want to stop in at Martin's first!
Check out The Where Y'Art? party this evening over at the New Orleans Museum of Art starting at 5:00 pm with Gallery & Exhibition Tours, lots of fun activities and music!! The event is FREE with museum admissions. $10 Adults, $8 seniors, students, active military, $6 children ages 17 to 7, children 6 and under are free.

Celebrate the season at Lafreniere Park (3000 Downs Boulevard) - The annual “Holiday in the Park” The beautiful light display is nightly from dusk 'til 9:00 pm and admission is $3 a car. The light display is generously donated by the family of the late Al Copeland - The park comes alive for the holidays with thousands of twinkling lights and displays.
And there's more holiday fun at City Park with Celebration in the Oaks! The Celebration runs nightly through January 1st - Sunday thru Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm and Friday & Saturday 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm (closed Christmas Eve and New Years Eve). There are fabulous new exhibits, nightly entertainment, synthetic ice skating rink, amusement park rides. It's Holiday Movies on the Mississippi at the Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza at 6:30 p.m. - The Downtown Development District and Riverwalk Marketplace present two weekends of special outdoor movie showings! Tonight it's th classic The Year Without a Santa Claus. Enjoy hot chocolate, tasty treats and the beautiful Mississippi River with your family, friends and neighbors. The first 50 families at each showing will receive a free Canal Street: Home for the Holidays fleece blanket!

Head on over to Chickie Wah Wah on Canal for their happy hour and a triple header of music this evening. Come on by around the 5 o'clock hour and music the Pfister Sisters startin' up at 5:30, and stay on for Jimbo Mathus and the Tri-State Coalition at 9:30 pm there's a small cover, but you know it's worth it! The kitchen is back open so come hungry for delicious pizza and such!
And there's more good music in Mid-City (almost Uptown) over at Rock 'N Bowl (3016 S. Carrollton) for The Levee Dogs and the Iguanas at 9:30 pm!! Remember if you eat at Ye Olde College Inn right next door you get a discount to the show! Happy rockin' and bowlin'!
Tonight don't miss Los Po Boy Citos performing at Maison (508 Frenchmen) on the big stage! And Yojimbo at Midnight on the front stage till the wee hours. NO COVER! And upstairs as always is the sexiest latin dance party in Nola every Friday 10:00 pm till late!
