Tonight is the 4th Annual Asante Awards at the Mahalia Jackson Theatre of Performing Arts (1419 Basin St.) from 7:00 to 10:00 pm! Celebrating the sound of brass music and social & pleasure clubs - Admission is FREE and if you become a member for only $25 you get priority seating! On this day of Thanksgiving and Salutation to our culture, the Asante Awards and Festival will showcase local poets, musicians, and artists in various disciplines.
