You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!! Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even grab some lunch! La Divinia Gelateria is fixing up some great food each Tuesday in August at the Market.....on the menu today: Chilled cucumber soup with housemade creme fraiche and dill, porchetta sandwiches with caramelized fennel and onions on house-baked ciabatta, Italian pasta salad with summer vegetables and fresh herbs, fresh squeezed watermelon lemonade, and to help beat the summer heat, lime sorbetto and plum beaujolais sorbetto......yummy!!
Tonight come on out to the Finals for the Stage Door Idol Competition - Who will be the next Stage Door Idol? The 40's themed talent competition at the National World War II Museum - Stage Door Canteen (945 Magazine St.)! Watch as area hopefuls vie for the title of the next Stage Door Idol by performing hits of the war years for celebrity judges. Finalists will compete for an opportunity to headline as part of the Museum's popular Sunday Swing series on August 28. Admission is FREE contact Ginny Clauss for reservations
The Trinity Artist Series continues tonight at Trinity Episcopal Church (1329 Jackson Ave.) with "Organ & Labyrinth" with Albinas Prizgintas on the 5000 pipe Trinity tracker organ. The program includes some of the greatest music ever written ranging from Classical Baroque to vintage rock and popular tunes. The concert is from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and is FREE!

It's Open Mic Night over at the Rusty Nail (1100 Constance) with Whiskey T of Country Fried! Get on stage, or just check out the local NOLA talent! The fun starts up at 8:00 pm.
It's gonna be a great evening to hang out at the The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.)...Have a cocktail and listen to the amazing guitar playing of John Rankin with Clarence Johnson III (sax) and Matt Perrine (sousaphone) at 8:00 pm...it's a lovely night for porch sippin'!
There's a triple header over at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) starting up at 4:00 pm with Brett Richardson, then stay on for Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 6:00 pm, and finish off the night with Meschiya Lake and Little Big Horns at 10:00 pm!!
End your night over at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street...with the REBIRTH Brass Band they come on around 10:30ish - you'll be glad you stayed up late!!
