Sugar Bowl Celebratin'!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

Celebrate the Sugar Bowl with all kinds of good things!!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even get some lunch!  Greg and Mary Sonnier of Gabrielle at the Uptowner kick off another year of local chefs committed to cooking with local ingredients this today....On the menu: turkey gumbo, pulled pork with white beans & greens, smothered red cabbage and sweets...yummy!!

Once you've filled up on some great fresh food....celebrate the Sugar Bowl over at Champions Square from 4:30 to 7:30 pm with the Fan Jam!!  They'll be entertainment by MoJeaux Entertainment: MoJeaux....and lots of fun activities....food samples, interactive blow up games, face painters, Allstate interactive display, and giveaways!!!

Good Stuff Tonight!

It's gonna be a lovely evening to hang out on the porch at The Columns (3811 St. Charles Ave.)...Have a cocktail and listen to the musical stylings of John Rankin & Friends and watch the streetcars go by!

For more music fun....come on down to Chickie Wah Wah on Canal Street to enjoy the amazing John Mooney!!  Music starts about 8:00 pm, but come out early for happy hour starting up at 4:00 pm with $1.00 off drinks and the kitchen opens up at 5:00 pm too!!

Stay in Mid-City and head on over to the Banks Street Bar and Grill (4401 Banks) for a great night of music with Smashing Blonde....the show starts up at 9:00 pm!!

There's a triple header over at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) starting up at 4:00 pm with Brett Richardson, then stay on for Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 10:00 pm, and finish off the night with Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns at 10:00 pm!!

If you're lookin' for some Rockin' and Bowlin' and some good food too...Have some dinner over at Ye Olde College Inn..where you'll get some yummy food and a discounted ticket to Rock 'N Bowl...right next door!!  It's Jumpin' Johnny Sansone tonight...the show gets kickin' about 8:30 pm.

To top off your evening you need to head on over to the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street for the one and only REBIRTH!!!   The show gets kickin' about 11:00 pm!
