The Celebration runs nightly through January 1st - Sunday thru Thursday from 6:00 pm to 10:00pm and Friday & Saturday 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm (closed New Years Eve). You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market and stock up on your holiday menu items too!!! Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even grab some lunch! December brings the fabulous food truck Geaux Plates to the Tuesday market. They'll be set-up right along side where the GPS tent usually is (making room for additional seating under the tent). Stop by and enjoy one of their delicious creations!!

Thompson, the Haunted Hearts convened in 2003 with the sole purpose of single-handedly resurrecting New Orleans' once rich, now nearly invisible hillbilly music heritage! Come enjoy a delicious hot toddy at the "O" bar, and remember if you're a member of the Ogden you always get in free!

And If you're lookin' for some bluegrass music tonight you don't have to go too far to find it....Check out the Hi Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude) and the Bluegrass Pickin' Party at 8:00 pm....plus cheap and yummy and red beans (veggie red beans too) and it's smoke-free!!

If you're doing one thing this evening you should head on out to St. Alphonsus Church (2025 Constance) in the Irish Channel for Fun Under the Frescoes premier concert!! The concert begins at 6:00 pm with the The outrageous Becky Allen and Chris Wecklein join Harry Mayronne for a once in a lifetime holiday show!!! Admission is $10 and includes three complimentary beverages and a $25 membership (per person) gets you a free pass to the entire concert series! (see below)

**St. Alphonsus Catholic Church was built in 1855 to serve the needs of the Irish Catholic immigrants who began settling in the neighborhood in the 1840s. In 1979, the church was closed. After a continuing fall into decline, FOSA was formed in 1990; in 1996, the building was declared a National Historic Landmark. With glorious, yet deteriorating, ceiling frescoes and stained glass windows over a century old, the building is breathtakingly beautiful and has been featured in several movies… and the acoustics rock!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market and stock up on your holiday menu items too!!! Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even grab some lunch! December brings the fabulous food truck Geaux Plates to the Tuesday market. They'll be set-up right along side where the GPS tent usually is (making room for additional seating under the tent). Stop by and enjoy one of their delicious homemade soups or their Barq's Root Beer Braised Cochon de Lait......yummy!!

Monday - Come Celebrate the Life of Coco Robicheaux
Happy Monday Everybody - Celebrate the life a true New Orleans original - Coco Robicheaux!
Family, friends and fans of Coco Robicheaux, beloved local musician and ever familiar face on Frenchmen Street, will commemorate and celebrate his life with a Second-Line Parade and Concert today. The second line will begin on Frenchmen Street in in the Faubourg Marigny at 3:30 p.m. and the Treme Brass Band will lead the procession through the Marigny and French Quarter. The procession will conclude at the House of Blues (225 Decatur) at about 6 p.m. and there will be a free concert featuring Glen David Andrews, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Honey Island Swamp Band, John Mooney, J. Monque'D, Irene Sage and others. Come celebrate the life of a true New Orleans character.

And If you're lookin' for some bluegrass music tonight you don't have to go too far to find it....Check out the Hi Ho Lounge (2239 St. Claude) and the Bluegrass Pickin' Party at 8:00 pm....plus cheap and yummy and red beans (veggie red beans too) and it's smoke-free!!

There's a Holiday on the Boulevard - Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard! Ashe Cultural Arts Center Presents this fun event with entertainment including Phillip Manuel, Sharon Martin, Bamboula 2000, and Rebirth Brass Band. There will also be some yummy food and a marketplace for your holiday shopping - Today from Noon to 8:00 pm!
There's more fun, music and shopping at the Treme Gumbo Festival today from 11 to 5:30 pm. The festival includes a Jazz and Heritage Holiday Bazaar, lots of gumbo and music by the Rebirth Brass Band, Glen David Andrews, the Treme Brass Band and Shannon Powell...It's a free fest so come on out! There's a Holiday on the Boulevard - Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard! Always a fun way to kick things off. It's the weekly wine tasting over at Cork & Bottle (Orleans at Moss St.) - from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. It's Holiday Movies on the Mississippi at the Riverwalk’s Spanish Plaza at 6:30 p.m. - The Downtown Development District and Riverwalk Marketplace present two weekends of special outdoor movie showings! Tonight it's th classic The Year Without a Santa Claus. Enjoy hot chocolate, tasty treats and the beautiful Mississippi River with your family, friends and neighbors. You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market and stock up on your holiday menu items too!!! Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) from 9:00 to 1:00 pm and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even grab some lunch! December brings the fabulous food truck Geaux Plates to the Tuesday market. They'll be set-up right along side where the GPS tent usually is (making room for additional seating under the tent). Stop by and enjoy a Bayou or Veggie Banh Mi, one of their delicious homemade soups or their Barq's Root Beer Braised Cochon de Lait......yummy!!

Enjoy hot chocolate, tasty treats and the beautiful Mississippi River with your family, friends and neighbors. The first 50 families at each showing will receive a free Canal Street: Home for the Holidays fleece blanket!
