Here's the Thursday fun stuff going on today!!

Looking for some free wine to taste??   Stop by Cork and Bottle around 5:00 pm in Mid-City, for the release party of the 2008 Cork & Bottle Selections "There's No Place Like Home" Syrah, Stage Gulch Vineyard, Cork & Bottle's very own wine!  They'll have on hand winemaker Paul Hoffman who will also be tasting through four of his own wines. They wil also feature Jumpin' Johnny Sansone live in the wine bar from 6pm till. . . .Come out and help celebrate (and drink wind for free).....and be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!

Need a little culture and music and cocktails? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm with Jimmy "Duck" Holmes and a book siging by Jessica Harris author of "Rum Drinks: 50 Caribbean Cocktails, from Cuba Libre to Rum Daisy"....so come on down for some music, culture, fun and a little rum! (remember if you get down there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's Circle...one of the best happy hours in town!)

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with Wilson & Moore who are Jesse Moore and Chip Wilson! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Come on down this evening to the Maison Frenchmen on Frenchmen Street (of course) tonight at 7:00 pm for the Grill Out Chill Out with Happy Jack Frequency!  Bar patrons can load up on loads of yummy grilled meats, veggies and who knows what else.....be sure and stay on for the Yojimbo at 9:00 pm.
