Wine for the Gulf and More Fun!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

It's a rainy one..but there's lots of good stuff to do today!

You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even get some lunch!  Emeril's restaurants' month-long farm to fork celebration continues this Tuesday with yummy food from Emeril's under the GPS tent. Come by for Belle Ecorce goat cheese cake with fresh herbs and roasted red pepper coulis, Johnsdale Farms tomato gazpacho, house made wild boar sausage with okra stew, grilled green tomato with Gulf shrimp remoulade...now that sounds delicious!

This afternoon and evening there's lot of fun stuff going on....

Bouche (840 Tchoupitoulas) is holding its 1st Annual Wine Tasting Charity Event from 6:00 to 9:00 pm tonight. Tickets will be sold for $15 in advance or at the door, and a portion of the proceeds will go to the Gulf Seafood Industry. So Come and enjoy over 25 Wines from around the World paired with spreads to delight your palette!! 

After the Bouche event....come on down to Chickie Wah Wah on Canal Street to enjoy the amazing John Mooney...(hey, he was just on Treme' this past Sunday)!  Music starts about 8:00 pm, but come early to get a good seat.

You can also head on over to Bullet's Sports Bar (2441 AP Tureaud) at about 8:30ish and get down to the sounds of Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers...there's really no better place to spend your Tuesday night and have a few drinks to celebrate!

If you're lookin' for some Rockin' and Bowlin' and some good food too...Have some dinner over at Ye Olde College Inn..where you'll get some yummy food and a discounted ticket to Rock 'N Bowl...right next door!!  It's Little Freddie King tonight...and the show gets kickin' about 8:30 pm.

For your early and late night evening pleasure you need to go by the Maple Leaf Bar tonight on Oak Street...There's an early show for Shuck Nite featuring 3 Piece Spicy at 7:00 pm...and stay on through for the REBIRTH!!  You'll be glad you stayed up late for this show!
