CANCELLED DUE TO RAIN....It's another Wednesday on the Point from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., and of course, admission is FREE..Take the ferry right over to the concert tonight and head to the Gulf Pizza (446 Pelican) for Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Review with special guest Philip Melancon to celebrate tonight's theme...Family Fun Day! Tonight is also the Mission to Musicians Concert Series at St. Anna's Episcopal Church, Parish Hall (1313 Esplanade Ave.) featuring Doc Otis and the Junker Jazz Allstars at 7:30 pm. The gospel healing Mass and medical services for musicians take place at 6:30 pm.....Dinner and resources are free for musicians (suggested donation $10)....All proceeds benefit the Mission to Musicians Fund!
And of course you got more music!
You can head on down to the Candlelight Lounge (925 N. Robertson) for the Treme Brass Band at 9:00 pm.
You'll be having a good time at d.b.a. on Frenchmen Street tonight with The Tom Paines for the early show at 7:00 pm (no cover)! And hang out for Walter Wolfman Washington...he comes on at 10:00 pm.
If you're already in the Marigy (or even if you're not) head down to Mimi's in the Marigny (2601 Royal) for a double dose of Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Review's weekly show at 10:00 pm!
