Head on down to the Audubon Zoo today from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm for the 3rd Annual Asante Festival with entertainment by by Kourtney Heart, Young Fellas Brass Band and many more!!
You can get your evening started off right with a little wine tasting at Swirl (3143 Ponce de Leon) with the Friday Free for All from 6 to 8:00 pm. Monica Bourgeois from Neat Wines will be in the shop for our Free Friday tasting presenting 4 wines from her portfolio. And even though we haven't nailed down the line up yet, if it's from Neat and Monica is pouring, you know it is going to be a great tasting! Don't miss Chef Dan Esses dishing out his delicious tapas plates for $5.
You can get started early at the Spotted Cat (623 Frenchmen) with Casual Baby at 4:00 pm, Jumbo Shrimp at 6:00 pm, and Cottonmouth Kings at 9:30 pm.
Right down the street you have another trio of shows at BMC (1331 Decatur)...with Sasha Masakowski at 7:00 pm, Fredy Omar con su Banda at 10:30 pm, We Are 1 Brass Band at 1:00 am...(hey, now it's Saturday mornin'!)
d.b.a.'s (618 Frenchmen) got the Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns at 6:00 and stay on for The Bayou Ramblers at 10:00 pm!
Head on down to the Maison (508 Frenchmen) at 7:30 for Some Like it Hot...and you'll appreciate the great drinks and the NO COVER!
And for those of you hanging out Uptown don't forget Free Fridays at Tipitina's (504 Napoleon Ave.) continues with the New Orleans Bingo! Show....show starts up about 10ish...it's gonna be good one!
