Farmer's Market, French Cocktails and Music!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

Looking for some fun things to do today??? You can get your day started off right with a trip to the Farmer's Market!!!  Visit the Crescent City's Farmer's Market at University Square (200 Broadway) and pick up some fresh seafood, veggies and you can even get some lunch!  Emeril's restaurants' month-long farm to fork celebration continues this Tuesday with Chef Spencer Minch of Emeril's Delmonico under the GPS tent. Come by for opal basil macerated peaches with crème fraiche, chilled local melon soup with Louisiana crabmeat, Creole tomato gazpacho with mint oil, and roasted tomato tapenade with housemade capocollo crustino...that sounds delicious!

This afternoon and evening there's lot of fun stuff going on....

It's a French inspired Happy Hour at Le Booze (300 Bourbon) starting up at at 5:30 pm and going on until 7:00 pm...it's "Toasting with Margarita" is spicing up the work-week by adding a dash of French flare to the most unique Happy Hour in town.  Inspired by the French Summer Wine Festival, Margarita "Darling" Bergen and her guest Frank Stansbury, editor of La Fete News, are mixing up French inspired cocktails!

Chickie Wah Wah on Canal has an early show at 8:00 pm with a last minute replacement for their usual trio...Don't miss this rare opportunity to see one of the WORLD'S funkiest piano maestros! If you don't know Jon Cleary, you need to. If you do, you'll be here Tuesday night! Jon was gracious enough to fill the last minute slot and Chickie's is lucky enough he was in town to be able to ask him!

And one of my favorite things to do on a Tuesday....stroll down Frenchmen Street to Yuki Izakaya (525 Frenchmen) for the talented accordion player Norbert Slama Trio at 8:00 pm...Norbert plays some incredible French inspired accordion!

You can head on over to Bullet's Sports Bar (2441 AP Tureaud) at about 8:30ish and get down to the sounds of Kermit Ruffins and the BBQ Swingers...there's really no better place to spend your Tuesday night and have a few drinks to celebrate!

Here's a new event going on...OZ at 800 Bourbon has started up a concert series, so be sure to go by tonight for the Reggae sounds of the Revealers at 10:30 pm!  It's a great space to see a band...you should check it out!
