Time to Protest...Down with BP!!

Good Morning Everybody!  Hope you're having a great weekend so far....If you missed Holla at the Gulf last night you missed an amazing show...with Dr. John, James Andrews and Walter Wolfman Washington...Much fun was had by all...Thanks Broussards, putting on this amazing benefit!!!

Now on to Sunday's events....Please get out there and show BP how we really feel about them, and make your voice be heard!!!

Starting off with a Jazz Funeral for Joan of Arc....starting off at 12:30 at the front of the Joan of Arc Statue (of course) in the French Market.....Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake 579 years ago this Sunday, and the Krewe of Jeanne d'Arc wants to honor her in New Orleans fashion with a jazz funeral.  In addition to honoring her sainthood, the Krewe will ask for Joan to intercede on the Gulf Coast's behalf in light of the BP oil spill...Come down and show your support!!



And if you're already in the Quarter you're not too far from the big protest today at Jackson Square...The BP Oil Flood Protest kicks off at 1:00 pm at Jackson Square!!!  Demand the Federal Government and BP devote all possible and available resources to stopping the continued outpouring of crude oil into our waters of the Gulf of Mexico NOW!!!!!  For more info contact bpoilflood@gmail.com.
 
After you've shown BP where you really want them to go.....(and that's no place nice)....Support our local festivals with the the third day of the fabulous Greek Fest (on the corner of Robert E. Holla at the Gulf Tonight!!!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend Everybody!!

There are plenty of fun events going on this weekend!!

It's the second day of the fabulous Greek Fest (on the corner of Robert E. Lee and St. Bernard) with this year's Greece on the Bayou...Went there last night, and there is plenty of food, music, dancing and crafts!  Make sure you stock up on some ouzo - OPA!!

And if you're looking for a great little road trip...(it's really not that far)...You've got to go to the Plaquemines Parish Seafood Festival, and support Louisiana's local fisherman...There's gonna be delicious food (of course), music, crafts and more!!  Click on the link for more details...but the fun gets going tonight and lasts all weekend long!!!

Come join the New Orleans String Project (NOSP)  from 12pm-6pm on Saturday May 29th at Washington Square Park on Frenchmen and Royal Street for the 5th Annual Crawfish Boil. This exciting fundraiser will feature live music performed by the children with special performance by Sharon Martin.  This fun family event will include games and arts and crafts for children of all ages. Come take a chance on some of the great items that will be raffled off during the festival. All the proceeds from the Crawfish Boil will help continue NOSP commitment of providing music lessons to all children.

Well, if it's Memorial Day weekend it can only mean one thing...and that's Greek Fest (1200 Robert E. Lee Blvd.)....Come out and Experience Greece on the Bayou, the annual Hellenic party with a uniquely New Orleans flair!  Join the fun for delicious food, delightful drinks, and entertainment the entire family will enjoy.  (Entrance fee is only $5...and children under 12 get in FREE!) The fest runs all weekend, and tonight things get kickin' at 5:00 pm...Oh....and make sure you check out the ouzo daiquiri...it's a good one!

In the Bayou area??  Be sure to stop by the Pitot House (1440 Moss St.) for the Louisiana Landmarks Society and the New Orleans Nine Selection Committee for a reception for the release of The New Orleans Nine (9) Most Endangered Sites for 2010...the reception is from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.  For more info call 482-0312.

Wine, Music and Free Food!

Good Morning Everybody,

Here's the Thursday fun stuff going on today!!

Thursday Events

This evening is the Royal Street Stroll sponsored by Rouses the fun starts up at 5:30pm and goes until 8:30pm at the 300 Royal Street, The Wine and Food Experience Event brings together New Orleans' greatest gifts: rare antiques, fine art, live jazz and stunning historic architecture with the world's outstanding wines. Shop the enchanting galleries of Royal Street while experiencing wine offerings at each stop, as live jazz music fills the air. As always, the Krewe of Cork will parade down Royal Street to add to the fun!

At the event, in exchange for your ticket, you will receive a 2010 Wine Glass & Wristband that allows you receive wine & food offerings.  Tickets are $75 per person in advance ($90 on-site), available at NOWFE....If you're poor like me and can't afford the wristband...be sure to head down anyway and support the shops and establishments on Royal this evening...it's a fun event!!!

Looking for some free wine to taste??   Stop by Cork and Bottle around 5:00 pm in Mid-City, and be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!

Need a little culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm. with Jazz prodigy Jeremy Marx and his Trio....so come on down for some music, culture and fun! (remember if you get down there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's Circle...one of the best happy hours in town!)

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with Don Vappie, banjo player extraordinaire! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Join Harrah's  on Fulton Square this Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for the last installment of Bugs, Buds and Bands with Kim Carson!! Enjoy music, beer, and crawfish "with all the fixin's" with special deals for Harrah's Total Rewards members (the crawfish is a $1.00 a pound!!)

Free crawfish is happenin' this evening at Maison Frenchmen on Frenchmen Street (of course) tonight at 7:00 pm!  Bar patrons can load up on crawfish and stay on for the brass band beat of the Young Fellaz at 10 pm.

And last on my list of fun things to do this Thursday is a super fun evening at the Mother-in Law Lounge on 1500 N. Claiborne with Guitar Slim, Jr. and friends from 7:00 to 10:00 pm....For only $5.00 you're gonna some amazing BBQ, Antoinette K-Doe's famous red beans (and let me tell you they are YUMMY!!!)  Please come on down and show your support for this local treasure!!

Early in the day you can check out the Fundraiser for New Orleans Musicians Clinic with Armand St. Martin's Maison C'est Bon Jazz Trio....1:00pm at Whole Foods on Magazine....The Whole Foods Market will be donating 5% of their proceeds to the New Orleans Musicians Clinic. If you are thinking of stocking up on groceries for the long Memorial Day weekend this coming week, think about shopping at the Whole Foods Market today.....You can shop or eat lunch while enjoying the jazzy sounds of Armand St. Martin's Maison C'est Bon Jazz Trio!!

It's another installment of Wednesday at the Square....and this week we have the Bucktown Allstars plus Benny Grunch and the Bunch!  Things get kicked off at 5:00 and go all the way to 7:30.  Be sure to check out the cool art and yummy food while you're cruising around.

It's also the big Sex and the City 2 Chic Celebration from 8:00pm - 10:00pm at The Shops at Canal Place, Level 3.....Hit the red carpet in your stylish outfits that Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte would envy. Go by the Columns Hotel on St. Charles Avenue about 8:00ish and keep cool this evening with the great sounds of John Rankin, Clarence Johnson III, and a refreshing adult beverage!

Chickie Wah Wah on Canal has an early show with the fantastic trio of Anders Osborne, John Fohl, and Johnny Sansone starting up at 8:00 pm....it's always a great one, and there should be some yummy food available from the kitchen!

The Spotted Cat on Frenchmen has a full afternoon and evening of music with this lineup!  Brett Richardson 4:00 pm, Jerry Jumonville 6:00 pm, and the Meschiya Lake & The Little Big Horns 10:00 pm!

A stroll down Frenchmen Street should also take you by Yuki Izakaya for the talented accordian player Norbert Slama Trio at 8:00 pm...Norbert plays some incredible French inspired accordian!

If you're in the Carrollton area go by Ye Olde College Inn for some yummy dinner, and get a discounted ticket to the show at Rock 'N Bowl next door.  Tonight's show features the sweet sounds of Ingrid Lucia at 8:30 pm.

Head down to Metairie tonight for some great Italian fun...It's the Capri Blu Anniversary Party at Andrea's (3100 19th St)...The fun starts up at 5:00 pm and goes on until 7:00 pm with complimentary hors d'oeuvres, 2 for1 drink prices, $5 premiums..and much more!  You know Chef Andrea knows how to throw a party!


Be sure to go down River Road For some really cheap and yummy red beans and rice and the cool sounds of Amanda Walker....take a walk along the River Road levee this evening and make a stop at the River Shack Tavern...Amanda will be playing at 7:00 pm tonite! 

There's also some early fun in the Marigny with Jayna Morgan and the Sazerac Sunrise Jazz Band at The Maison on Frenchmen...the party starts up around 7:00 pm for the weekly Monday Night Swing Dance.....No cover, food available, no smoking, and one big dance floor!!

Get your evening started off right as the French Quarter Business Association (FQBA) welcomes back its summer promotion, Getaway In The Vieux Carre!  This promotion inspires locals to enjoy all the French Quarter has to offer: restaurants; attractions; architecture; culture; nightlife; history and six lucky winners win a complete Getaway In The Vieux Carre which includes a 2 night hotel stay, restaurant gift certificates, and attractions!!!!  The partywill be from 5-8pm at the French Market's Governor Nicholl's Stage. Music by Jenn Howard & Crazy McGee (5- 6 pm) and Juice (6-8 pm).   It's gonna be a fun one!!

This past Saturday afternoon turned out to be a  yucky one, but lucky for us the Fortier Park Festival was resscheduled for today!  Fun gets kicked off at 6:00 pm...so go enjoy music, food and festivities at the beautiful Fortier Park - Esplanade at Mystery Street!

Please don't forget the Benefit Concert for Mr. Okra - A New Truck the fun starts up at 6:00 pm at dba on Frenchmen....Mr. Okra is a New Orleans legend and a wonderful man....he sells local produce throughout our neighborhoods, but his truck has been out of commission for 5 months!! Chickie Wah Wah on Canal has an early show with the fantastic trio of Anders Osborne, John Fohl, and Johnny Sansone starting up at 8:00 pm....it's always a great one, and there should be some yummy food available from the kitchen!

The Spotted Cat on Frenchmen has a full afternoon and evening of music with this lineup!  Brett Richardson 4:00 pm, Jerry Jumonville 6:00 pm, and Tuba Skinny 10:00 pm!

A stroll down Frenchmen Street should also take you by Yuki Izakaya for the talented accordian player Norbert Slama Trio at 8:00 pm...Norbert plays some incredible French inspired accordian!

If you're up late be sure to go down to the Maple Leaf on the 8300 block of Oak Street for REBIRTH!!!  Show starts around 10ish...and you will definitely get your funk on!!

Saturday is Festival Day!!

Lots of stuff going on today...Here's what's going on!

Saturday Events


It's ReFest in the 7th Ward from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm....The ReUse District will host ReFest, an all-day festival promoting creative reuse in New Orleans!!!  Workshops include a reuse carpentry workshop at The Green Project, a mural workshop at Trouser House, a book art workshop at Beth's Books, reused t-shirt printing workshop with Dr. Bob Art, and a bike repair and bike art workshop at R.U.B.A.R.B. 
From 5pm to 6:30pm, Charitable Film Network will lead a film screening on The Story of Stuff followed by a panel  discussion with representatives from The Green Project, Rebuilding Together New Orleans, and Trouser House. From 7:30 to 10pm, Jon Cleary, Mohican Scouts, and Slow Danger Brass Band will perform at The Green Project's Green Room, constructed from recycled materials. 
From 9:30pm to 2am, Mimi's in the Marigny, Hi-Ho Lounge, Saturn Bar, and The Mother-In-Law Lounge will give discounts to all customers who present a reusable cup - sounds like it's going to be one fun event!!

If you're looking to purchase some art be sure to go by the Bywater Art Market...from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at Markey Park on the 700 block of PIety Street...There's gonna be local and national artists with paintings, photography, jewelry, and sculpture!!

It's the 5th Annual Broadmoor Neighborhood Festival from Noon to 7:00 pm on South Galvez between Napoleon and Upperline.  This event is FREE so come on down for food, entertainment and activities for the kids!!  There's going to be a fabulous raffle for restaurant gift certificates, passes to the Ogden and WWI Museum, and for local health clubs...and last, but not least some excellent music including Andrew Duhon and the Lonesome Crows, Wild Bill and the Juanderers, Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots, Coot, The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels....and more!!  Be sure to check this event out it's always a fun one!!  

If you're in the Bayou St. John area be sure to go by the Fortier Park Festival, there's gonna be food, fun, beverages, a silent auction and great music with Tony Green at 3:00 and Walter Wolfman Washington at 4:30....Come out to celebrate this beautiful Park!!   I

If you're in the mood for some German Fun it's the last big blowout at the Deutches Haus Volksfest today at 200 South Galvez!!  If you've ever been to the Haus for October Fest you gotta go!!!  Fun starts up at 2:00 pm with a Worst Film Fest and fun goes on until 11:00 pm!  Arrive in a Volkswagon and get in for FREE, or bring in a donation to Second Harvest for a $1.00 off the already low $6.00 admission..Get ready to do some serious Chicken Dancing!!!!

One Mo' Day 'Til Friday!!

Looking for some wine to taste??   Stop by Cork and Bottle around 5:00 pm in Mid-City, and be sure to stop by the Crescent City Farmer's Market and patronize local Louisiana vendors with fresh veggies, seafood and more!

Need a little culture and music? You gotta go to the show at the Ogden Southern Museum of Art better known as Ogden after Hours.  The concert starts up at 6:00 pm. with Jeff & Vida....so come on down for some music, culture and fun! (remember if you get down there early - go grab a cocktail at the Circle Bar on Lee's Circle...one of the best happy hours in town!)

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with Becky Allen!! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Join Harrah's on Fulton Square this Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for Bugs, Buds and Bands with Little Freddie King!! Enjoy music, beer, and crawfish "with all the fixin's" with special deals for Harrah's Total Rewards members (the crawfish is a $1.00 a pound!!)

Free crawfish is happenin' this evening at Maison Frenchmen on Frenchmen Street (of course) tonight at 7:00 pm!  Bar patrons can load up on crawfish and stay on for the brass band beat of the Young Fellaz at 10 pm.

And besides all that....there's the usual Thursday nite fun stuff. Make sure to stop by  Vaughn's for Kermit Ruffins...cause there ain't nothin' more New Orleans than Vaughn's on a Thursday night!

Wednesday Square, Marketplace and Music

It's another fun filled Wednesday, so let's see what's happenin' today!

Wednesday Events

It's another installment of Wednesday at the Square....and this week we have the Dirty Dozen Brass Band plus Happy Jack Frequency.  Things get kicked off at 5:00 and go all the way to 7:30.  Be sure to check out the cool art and yummy food while you're cruising around.

If you're hanging out in Lakeview tonight be sure to go by the Harrison Avenue Marketplace (Harrison Ave. near Canal Blvd.).  The fun starts up at 4:30 pm and goes on until 8:00 pm.  This is an event for the family with over 75 local vendors offering delicious meals, handmade crafts and information. In addition to kid friendly food, every market features plenty of theme activities for kids of all ages!

Looking for some live local music to check out after the Square...let's see what's going on tonight!

Wednesday Evening Music

If you're in the Marigny be sure to go by dba for the early show at 7:00 pm.....the Mirlitones are on board to play...and this should be a fun one!

The Iguanas are out of town, but their friends from Austin are playing tonight.  Check out the Tex Mex stylings of the Stone River Boys at Chicke Wah Wah on Canal....the band gears up at 8:00 pm - so put on your dancing shoes and go check it out!

Gatherings, Music and Frenchmen Street

Here's what's up this Tuesday the 11th, if you're wanting to go out and about this evening!

Tuesday Fun Stuff

Early in the evening you can eat some food, and help a worthy cause with the Nola Rising Fundraisin' Crawfish Boil!  The boil starts up at 6:00 pm at Flanagan's Pub (625 St. Philip)....The pub is is hosting a crawfish boil to benefit Nola Rising, and $5 gets you a wristband. The wristbands gets you crawfish and bbq (PIG ROAST). Please come out, enjoy yourself, and help out a great organization....Plus $2 High Lifes with the wrist band!   Wyatt Kennair, Sous Chef for La Cote Brasserie, has generously donated his time and energy to cook for this event...so you know the food is gonna be amazing!!

You can also start off your afternoon right, if you stop by the Trumpet Magazine Release Party which will get kickin' about 5:30 pm at the Fair Grounds Race Track and Casino.  Join Trumpet for this very special happy hour event to celebrate the release of their May/June issue of The Trumpet Magazine....the gathering will feature music, art and culture of New Orleans.....spotlighting the Faubourg St. John neighborhood.  There's music by Nate Cameron Jr. a.k.a. 504 Suave and arts tables by Miss Malaprop and Green Kangaroo....Plus ice cold beer by Nola Brewing and complementary food by Rotolo's Pizzeria!!

If you're looking for music this evening you have a bunch of choices!

Another Fun Monday!!

Hope everyone had a beautiful weekend and excellent Mother's Day!!
Here's a few things to do this evening to make your weekend last longer.....

Featured Monday Music

Be sure to go down River Road For some really cheap and yummy red beans and rice and the cool sounds of Amanda Walker....take a walk along the River Road levee this evening and make a stop at the River Shack Tavern...Amanda will be playing at 7:00 pm tonite! 

There's also some early fun in the Marigny with Jayna Morgan & the Sazerac Sunrise Jazz Band at The Maison on Frenchmen...the party starts up around 7:00 pm for the weekly Monday Night Swing Dance.....No cover, food available, no smoking, and one big dance floor!!

If you're headed to the Quarter there's a few things you can do this evening.   Go down to hear another amazing early evening show with Bob French and the Original Tuxedo Band featuring Tricia "Teedy" Boutte" at Irvin Mayfield's Jazz Playhouse show starts around 8:00 pm...with NO COVER.

There's always something fun happenin' at Chickie Wah Wah on Canal, tonight check out Sasha and Steve Masakowski about 7:00 pm...the kitchen should be cookin' up some yummy food too!

If you're lookin' for some bluegrass music this evening...you don't have to go too far to find it....Check out the Hi Ho Lounge on St. Claude and the Bluegrass Pickin' Party at 8:00 pm...there's no cover and FREE red beans at this show too!

Here's another fun thing to do this evening....go by the Bayou Park Bar (542 S. Jeff Davis) for Country Classic Mondays with Ron Hotstream!  Fun starts up at 10:00 pm. Every Monday Ron will perform live, many of your favorite classic country songs.  You won't find another show like this in town...It's a FREE show so you should really go!

If you're still on Frenchmen Street and be sure to make a stop by the Spotted Cat for the Jazz Vipers at 10:00 pm.....it's sure to be another great Monday evening show.

Happy Mom's Day!!

Good Morning Everybody - and let's hear it for the Moms out there! 

It's her day, so make her a special breakfast in bed, take her to a champagne brunch (check out food critic, Tom Fitzmorris, for some great ideas for mom), and remember to give her a big hug!

Sunday Events

One of the most special New Orleans events is Mother's Day at the Zoo with FREE admission for all moms on Mother’s Day - it's an Audubon Zoo tradition going back more than twenty years!  The Pfister Sisters take the stage at 12:30, and at 2:30 it's New Orleans favorite, Irma Thomas!!  Shop at the craft tents and pick out something special for your mother. Special treats such as stuffed peppers, pastas, baked chicken, hand dipped strawberries and more will be available for purchase so Mom doesn’t have to cook on her special day.  It's going to be a beautiful day out there!

For the moms out there who want to stay up a little later....there's the annual Hot Mama Review at One Eyed Jacks (615 Toulouse St)....You'll see your favorite aerialists, magicians, burlesque dancers, and their MOMS!  Two shows at 8:00 and 10:00 pm....Tickets are $15 general admission or $20 for reserved table seating...To reserve a table call 504.319.8917...AND....ALL ladies get a free gift at the door (until they run out of presents)!

Go hang out at City Park this evening for The Thursdays at Twilight Garden Concert Series with the Tommy Sancton New Orleans Sextet with special guest Jason Marsalis! The gates open up at 5:00 pm and the performance starts at 6:00 pm in the City Park Botanical Garden Pavilion of the Two Sisters...There is an admission charge, but hey, it's helping the Park out..so....it's a good thing...$8 for adults and $3 for children.

Join Harrah's on Fulton Square this Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm for Bugs, Buds and Bands with Sunpie and the Louisiana Sunspots!! Enjoy music, beer, and crawfish "with all the fixin's" with special deals for Harrah's Total Rewards members (the crawfish is a $1.00 a pound!!)

Free crawfish is happenin' this evening at Maison Frenchmen on Frenchmen Street (of course) tonight at 7:00 pm!  Bar patrons can load up on crawfish and stay on for the brass band beat of the Young Fellaz at 10 pm.

Cinco de Mayo NOLA Style!!

Getting off to a late start today...so, let's get down to it. 

Here's the fun stuff happenin' today - Ole'!

It's of course Wednesday at the Square with Junco Partners and Bill Iuso and the Restless Natives starting up at 5:00 pm at Lafayette Square.....music, food, art and fun!!

Of course....there's lots of Cinco de Mayo Events!

Be sure to go by Lucy's Retired Surfers Bar & Restaurant (701 Tchoupitoulas) after Wednesday at the Square for the "ZINKO" De Mayo BLOCK PARTY!!!!   Fun starts up at 6:00 pm - They've got Clockwork Elvis playing and a special Tito's Frozen Lemonade and Screwdrivers, Draft Beer Trucks, Outdoor Cash Bars and Surf Video's, Hoola Hoops and fun for all - Plus $3.00 a pound crawfish 'til it runs out!!

Be sure to stop by the Cinco De Mayo celebration at Maximo's (1117 Decatur Street) for Amazing Drink Specials All Night!  Fun starts up at 6:00 pm.....They  may be Italian, but they know how to party Mexican style!  All drinks are 50% off at the bar 'til 10:00. Plus, after cocktails, grab a table for dinner and enjoy 2 for 1 Sangrias with the purchase of 2 or more entrees!  To top it off, Chef Thomas has prepared a comida deliciosa for the evening accompanied by a FREE Margarita!

There's even more fun in the Marigny for Tomatillo's 3rd Annual Cindo de Mayo Festival & Block Party and it's going to be their biggest celebration ever! This year's festival will include music from the international superstar Rockin' Doopsie, Jr., local favorite Hot Down South, and DJ G. Music begins at 5:30pm and will last until 11pm, but Cinco de Mayo specials will be offered at the restaurant the entire day from 11am until close. Tuba Fats Tuesday! (One More Fest b/4 You Rest!)

Did you really think it was over??  Come on...this is New Orleans and all.

One more fest...before you rest.  Of course tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo, so forget about it!

Tuesday Events

So, today is officially Tuba Fats Tuesday! It's happenin' at Tuba Fats Square on the corner of St. Philip and Robertson in Treme. There's gonna be FREE food and FREE live music featuring Treme musicians Kenny Terry, Benny Jones, Uncle Lionel and the Treme Brass Band - Wow!!

You can also head on down to the Spotted Cat for a full evening of fun and music on Frenchmen Street in the Marigny.  Here's the line-up....Brett Richardson at 4:00 pm, Jerry Jumonville at 6:00 pm, and for you night owls Smokin' Time Jazz Club at 10:00!

And of course, more for you crazy night owls - startin' up around 10ish...it's REBIRTH!!! (Rebirth Brass Band that is) at the Maple Leaf Bar on Oak Street for the usual and always funky Tuesday night gig.

Mayor Monday

Good Morning All,

I'm back from my Jazz Fest hiatus...and here's what's happenin' today!

Inauguration Events!!

Come celebrate our new Mayor  from 11:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.at Lafayette Square Celebrate New Orleans Festival will feature complimentary food and drinks until 1:30 p.m. The public is invited to bring a brown bag lunch if they wish.
The musical line-up is as follows:
11:30 a.m.-noon The Victory Belles from the National World War II Museum
12:15-1:15 p.m The Navy Band
1:30-2:15 p.m. Stephanie Jordan
2:30-3:30 p.m. Rockin' Dopsie Jr.
Artisans from 10 neighborhoods also will be selling their work. Second Harvesters Food Bank is encouraging all those coming to the festival as well as the guests invited to attend the Inauguration at Gallier Hall to bring a nonperishable food item. 

Then head on down to the Louisiana Music Factory on Decatur for the last day of in store concerts for the Jazz Fest Season...check out this line-up!
