Good Morning Ya'll,
Up bit early for a Saturday morning, but I was semi-good last night. Went to the most wonderful St. Joseph's Altar in the City. The Bello Family Altar was amazing once again....and what makes it even more better is that it's conveniently located two housed down from us. Yea - Paul...thanks again for a wonderful evening....your sauce is the best!!
Now on to Saturday events.....
Saturday Day Events!
It's St. Baldrick's Day - so be sure to show your support (you can shave your head, but you don't have to). Finn McCool's is having a head shaving event at noon.....and then head on down to Oak Street (between Carrollton and the River for a St. B block party with fun food, fun and music - all funds help to find a cure and help out children with cancer.
Be sure to check out Fete Francaise, 821 General Pershing from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm. There will be French and Cajun food, art and activities. Also, the very popular Te'te', all the way from Paris France, will be performing! So it will be fun for the whole family and some culture too!!!
One of the most interesting festivals of the weekend is the Los Islenos Fiesta 1357 Bayou Road in St. Bernard Parish - Festivities start at noon Saturday and Sunday. Food, crafts and music representing St. Bernard's unique Canary Island culture. This is one not to be missed!
And for those of you who want to pull an all nighter - check out Bach around the Clock at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1329 Jackson Ave., NOLA. Check out this incredible schedule.
